In the bustling heart of Kabul, back in 1998, our story began.

Nomad Home, Nomad Rugs, began its journey in the heart of Kabul in 1998, specializing in handwoven rugs and vintage collections. Over the years, Nomad has collaborated with various artisans, including glass blowers, shearling makers, and embroiderers, showcasing an annual sustainable collection. With a strong focus on supporting Afghan women and training artisans.

Nomad Home played a significant role in stabilizing the handmade rug industry in Afghanistan after the Cold War, becoming a vital bridge between Afghanistan and international markets in Europe, the USA, China, and Japan.
For more than two decades, Nomad Home has presented its collections at over 60 prestigious exhibitions worldwide ranging from Paris, Milan, Hannover, and Berlin to New York, Los Angeles, Beijing, Shanghai, and Tokyo.

Today, Nomad Home Kabul stands as the largest rug manufacturer in the region, producing over 7,000 square meters each month. The company also collaborates with numerous renowned artists and designers from around the world, continuing its tradition of blending craftsmanship with innovation.
